Fire Protection
Our standard GRP Kiosk construction
will provide half hour fire resistance, compliant with BS476
Part 22 (Retention of stability, integrity and insulation).
Fire retardant resin is used to form a self-extinguishing
laminate to BS476 Part 7 class 2 (Surface spread of Flame).
Increased levels of protection can be offered if required.

Explosion Relief Roofs
Where there is potential for an
explosion within a GRP Kiosk, it is possible to control
the explosion and minimise its capacity for damage and
harm. Explosion relief roofs are standard on all gas
governor housings, and are an economical and effective
method to increase safety.

Dust, liquid and Impact Protection
Most GRP Kiosks are manufactured to
a minimum IP54 protection rating. Increased levels of protection
can be attained up to IP66.
Thermal Insulation
Standard GRP kiosks will provide an
insulation 'U' value of 2.2 W/m2/°C. Increased levels
of insulation up to 0.3 W/m2/°C could be attained.

Sound Attenuation
It is extremely difficult to offer a standard
value for the noise attenuation of our GRP kiosks. Acoustics
is a very complex subject and any requirement on sound attenuation
must be assessed for each individual application. Our engineers
will be able to provide complete technical appraisals and
support to ensure our product satisfies your requirements.
Variables such as kiosk size and location, apertures, penetrations,
frequency and sound levels are all critical in evaluating
the construction required.
Most GRP Kiosks will provide a 24dB(A) noise
reduction over an octave band centre frequency of 31.5Hz to
8KHz, however sound attenuations up to 50dB(A) could be achieved.
If required, acoustic tests can be carried out by independent
experts to demonstrate the attenuation levels attainable.
